We Are Winning This War

Don't expect to see this on ABC, NBC, SeeBS, etc:

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Osama bin Laden's deputy, in a new tape that surfaced Sunday, urged all Muslims to take up arms and said their refusal to join the fight against "the Cross and Zionism" was a "malignant illness" that would only lead to the defeat of militant Islam.

Egyptian-born Ayman al-Zawahri said the global Islamic community had "no hope for victory" until all Muslims signed on to the al-Qaida-led jihad.

"As long as this malignant illness continues to survive within us, there is no hope for victory and there can only be more defeats, tragedies, disasters and betrayals," al-Zawahri said.

There are a number of things to note in this passage. Number one is that, contrary to Howard Dean's fondest wishes, America has not been defeated in Iraq, al Qaeda has. Or is in the process of being defeated.

Howard Dean has more confidence in the Jihad than the senior leaders of al Qaeda. Think about it. al-Zawahri says we are winning. That, unless all Muslims step up to the fight, "...there is no hope for victory and there can only be more defeats, tragedies, disasters and betrayals..."

Even as Howard Dean tries to hearten the enemy, and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, the enemy admits they are on the ropes. The fight is not decided, though.

"The key to victory is in our hands, and in turn, the primary cause of defeat is in ourselves," said al-Zawahri about the Jihad. Indeed, that is the case for the United States.

We can either listen to the Democrats and lie down and die, or we can finish this thing and win. Contrast Howard Dean and al-Zawahri. We are winning, so Dean wants to decalre defeat, and encourage us to give up. al-Zawahri sees that we are winning, and tries to encourage the Muslims to fight harder so that they can defeat us.

It almost sounds like Dean and al Zawahri are on the same side, doesn't it?

And note that the fight is against "the Cross and Zionism", i.e. Christians and Jews. It has nothing to do with oil or imperialism. It is about who we are.

Al-Zawahri is wrong about what will happen if the rest of the Muslims join him. That will simply get more Muslims killed. We are winning. And we will win unless we listen to our domestic enemies in the Democratic Party and surrender.
