Moronic Convergence Watch

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will soon be in our hemisphere to swap cooties with another unhanged Nazi creep, Fidel Castro. Castro hasn't had to take a shower since 1962, having been continuously tongue-bathed by American leftheads for the last forty years.

Meanwhile, Northwestern University Professor (of Computer Science) Arthur Butz is praising Ahmadinejad's views on the Holocaust: ""I congratulate him on becoming the first head of state to speak out clearly on these issues and regret only that it was not a Western head of state."

You may not know who Arthur Butz is, but you should. David Irving and Robert Faurisson are better known, but Butz might be more influential than either of them. In fact, Butz deserves to be called the Dean of American Holocaust Deniers. His book The Hoax of the 20th Century has been in print for 30 years, and I can't count the number of times I've seen it on the shelves at second-hand bookstores.

Adding gross insult to injury, the title of the book is modeled after The Myth of the 20th Century by Alfred Rosenberg, the Nazi Party theoretician who was hanged at Nuremberg.

Butz has been a professor at NU since 1974. It is typical of the times in which we live, that after all these decades NU should suddenly "discover" that they have a Holocaust denier and a major Nazi wannabe on their faculty. Which, of course, they can do absolutely nothing about.
