This, my friends...

...is job security! :)

When I was in high school Elk Grove was just a little cowtown that consisted of a main drag and a bunch of farms and ranches. No longer. Our district has opened 3 new high schools in the last 5 years, with attendant elementary and middle schools. At least 3 more high schools are on the books. There are some 60k students enrolled in Elk Grove schools, which also includes the southernmost part of the City of Sacramento and the a large parcel of unincorporated southern Sacramento County. We get about 200 new students a month enroll, or thereabouts.

Plus...I teach science.

Nope, don't have to worry about my job for a long time to come.
